What's new in September: trustworthy agents, security improvements, and new integrations

It's been a busy month here at Sanity. Here's what we shipped: a new integration with Linear, a way for agents to provision a Sanity project without creating an account, and a better view into your security posture. This recap covers these releases, plus a couple of the biggest highlights and features in beta shared at our annual conference in NYC earlier this month. Let's get to it 👇

Highlights from Everything *[NYC]

Everything *[NYC] is our annual user conference for developers and content professionals building digital experiences in the AI era. Two key releases from the event:

Knowledge Bases in Sanity Context let you pull the facts out of your content and organize them by topic. Point one at your content, a docs site, or a folder of PDFs. It reads all of it, assembles a knowledge base, and serves that to your agent over an MCP endpoint. The work happens once, so agents answer faster and contradictions get flagged before an agent repeats them. Your agent works from a consistent set of facts instead of whatever it finds first.

Workflows models your editorial processes as code right alongside your content. Code defines the stages, humans and agents advance them, and it's all queryable with GROQ. No more switching tools to update ticket status. Keep working in Sanity.

What else is new: September releases

Content Agent for Linear: Content Agent now works inside Linear. Assign it an issue or mention @Sanity in a comment, and it does the editorial work behind the ticket in Content Lake, then posts the changes back for review. Less context switching, fewer tools to jump between, and more room for deep work.

sanity.new: Provision a Sanity project without creating a Sanity account. The agent spins it up, and the human has 72 hours to claim it. Agents would rather be coding, anyway.

Security tab: See your organization's security posture in one place in Manage. This includes permissive CORS origins, non-expiring API tokens, dataset visibility, administrator access, and SAML and backup coverage. Available as read-only at both the organization and project level.

September community highlight

Studiofront is a free, open-source macOS menu bar app that puts every Sanity Studio across all your organizations and projects one click away. Built by Sanity Pioneer Mitchell Christ for anyone managing more Studios than they can hold in their head, whether that's an agency juggling client orgs or a developer splitting time between personal and internal projects.
